We found a couple used toy haulers being sold at the Deforest location online. We drove over an hour each way to go see them, prepared to purchase if one met our needs. We will never go back! Nobody greeted us and NO other customers there, 4 o’clock on a holiday weekend Friday. Two guys sitting on golf carts outside looking at their phones, three guys sitting behind the Welcome desk lounging. No “hello” no “how can we help you today”. We had to approach them and ask to be shown where the used toy haulers could be found. They all three looked at each other to decide which was going to have the misfortune of helping us. The “unfortunate” one of the three walked outside with us, asked if we were set on only looking at pre-owned models, told us they were down in the lower lot around the fencing but supposed he could get a cart to take us down. He asked which campers we looked at online then said one was back in the shop after the deal blew up with another buyer and that he just wasn’t sure where the other one we were interested in was at. Instead of forcing him to accompany us, we chose to shop around on our own through the lot. We looked at a few new models and quite honestly may have

⚠️ Buyer Beware ⚠️ If you’re considering purchasing a used camper from this dealership, make sure you understand exactly what “as-is” means. A close family member recently purchased a used camper for nearly $30,000. He was told it had been inspected twice before the sale. After bringing it home, he discovered a mother raccoon and several babies living underneath the camper in the insulation. The raccoons had caused extensive damage, including destroying the heating ducts and chewing through wiring. When he contacted the dealership, hoping they would help make the situation right, he was told that because the camper was sold “as-is,” there was nothing they would do. After pushing the issue, they offered either: * An $800 repair credit to have it fixed elsewhere, or * To buy the camper back for roughly 30% less than what he had paid—meaning he would lose nearly $8,000 after owning it for less than 48 hours. While I understand what an “as-is” sale means legally, this is incredibly disappointing customer service. When someone spends that kind of money, especially on a camper that was supposedly inspected, I would expect a reputable business to stand behind what they sell and work

We’ve been searching for the right camper for our family for years now and Camping World made it happen. From working with our sales person, Patrick, working with the sales manager Dave, and then the amazing ‘store walk’ with Lola who helped us find everything we needed to outfit the inside of the camper. The customer service is incredible and they truly listen to your needs and desires. Thanks for helping us with getting outfitted for many family adventures for years to come!

We purchased a 5th wheel RV from Camping World and had an excellent experience with them. The service was excellent and our salesman Nate Shank was knowledgeable, helpful and very responsive when we had questions. As we were ready to take the RV home Hunter did our walk through and explained everything we needed to know and was knowledgeable, easy to work with and taught us what we needed to know about traveling, hooking and setting up the camper. We’ve already taken it camping and loved it! Thank you Camping World of Madison!

Buying a new camper at camper world is a great experience. It is a beautiful facility housing a many campers to choose from and the sales employees are very kind and courteous without any annoyance. Meaning they dont hunt you down in the store. I had a good time browsing around with my family without being bugged . When we did talk to our sales person (Adam Meinke) is a great salesman. He knows his stuff about campers. Great guy!! Along with other people i met like the manager David was very kind.also. All employees including the parts dept. were very helpful. I was all over that store in deforest wi and I- we had a good time as a family buying our new huge 36' travel trailer. Thanks camping world family/workers. Recommended to anyone.
